Sometimes the creation — the demand for the creation and acceptance — of a collective vision will take massive, almost violent forms, in public arenas.

What happened in Bologna in the 1970s is a version of what I mean by unfolding, and of the living process the people of Bologna used to obtain a collective vision, to agree on it, and to make sure that, at least in part, it would be implemented.
